Simple Ad Blocker
Overview
A lightweight browser extension that blocks common ad, tracker, popup, and redirect requests.
Simple Ad Blocker is a lightweight Chrome and Edge extension built to reduce distracting ads, popup overlays, tracker requests, and extra redirect tabs on the websites you visit. It combines network-level blocking with page-level cleanup so common ad requests can be blocked early, while aggressive popup and redirect behavior on problem sites can also be handled inside the page. ### What it does - Blocks many common ad and tracker requests - Hides popup overlays and fake captcha-style interruptions on known problem pages - Reduces extra redirect tabs and pop-under behavior on certain sites - Gives you a quick popup toggle to turn protection on or off - Stores only the extension's enabled or disabled state locally in your browser - Processes page URLs and page structure locally on pages the user opens in order to block ads, popups, and redirect behavior ### What it does not do - It does not guarantee 100% ad blocking on every website - It does not bypass every anti-adblock system - It does not send your browsing data to an external server - It does not transmit page URLs or page contents to the developer ### Why users may like it - Simple, lightweight setup - Clear on/off toggle - Focused on practical blocking instead of a cluttered interface - Runs locally inside the browser
