Overview
AHALA SeC browser edge for observing and enforcing operational AI governance on supported AI surfaces.
SIM Web Layer is AHALA SeC’s browser-based AI governance layer for organizations using web-based AI services. It establishes a governed browser boundary between users and supported AI environments. The extension observes governance-relevant interaction events, requests server-side policy decisions, applies the resulting browser intervention when required, and records metadata-only evidence of governed crossings. Key capabilities include: • Browser-level observation of supported AI usage • Server-side governance decision authority • Policy-driven warnings, friction, and blocking • Governance signals and intervention outcomes • Metadata-only evidence records • Zero Raw Storage design — raw prompt or chat content is not retained in the governance evidence path • Built-in support for AHALA SeC-maintained AI surfaces • Tenant-scoped Custom Surfaces • Explicit, site-specific browser permissions for organization-approved Custom Surfaces • Dynamic browser protection for organization-approved AI environments SIM Web Layer is designed to help organizations observe and govern AI usage at the browser boundary while maintaining server-side decision authority and evidence of governed interactions.
