You have three email signatures. One for work. One for personal. One for that side project you run on weekends. Gmail lets you manage signatures in Settings. But every time you want to switch, you leave your draft, scroll through a wall of options, pick the right one, and come back. By the time you're done, you've lost your train of thought. It shouldn't take five clicks to change a signature. WHY SWITCHING SIGNATURES IS SO FRUSTRATING Gmail buries signature management deep in Settings. There is no quick-switch option in the compose window. If you use multiple email identities or wear different hats throughout the day, you end up doing this over and over: - Open Settings (gear icon, then "See all settings") - Scroll down to the Signature section - Find the right signature in a dropdown - Save changes - Go back to your draft For something you do dozens of times a week, that is too many steps. And if you forget to switch back, you send a casual signature to a client or a formal one to a friend. WHAT THIS EXTENSION DOES Signature Manager for Gmail adds a small button directly in the compose toolbar - right next to Send. Click it, pick a signature from the dropdown, and it inserts instantly. No settings page. No page reload. No lost drafts. You stay in your compose window the whole time. Here is what you get: One-click signature switching - A small icon in the compose toolbar opens a dropdown with all your saved signatures. Click one to insert it immediately. The old signature is replaced, not stacked. Multiple signatures - Create as many signatures as you need. Work, personal, freelance, support - each with its own name and formatting. Rich text editor - Format your signatures with bold, italic, underline, bullet lists, and hyperlinks. What you see in the editor is what appears in your email. Default signature - Set any signature as your default. It gets inserted automatically every time you open a new compose window or reply. Management panel - A clean side panel slides out from the right. Add, edit, delete, and reorder signatures without leaving Gmail. HOW IT WORKS 1. Install the extension and open Gmail. 2. Click Compose to start a new email. 3. You will see a small signature icon in the compose toolbar (bottom of the compose window, near the formatting options). 4. Click the icon to see your signatures. If you have none yet, click "Manage Signatures" to create your first one. 5. In the management panel, click "+ New Signature" - give it a name, type or paste your signature, format it, and hit Save. 6. Back in compose, click the signature icon and pick the one you want. Done. That is it. Two clicks to switch signatures instead of five. WHY A TOOLBAR BUTTON INSTEAD OF A SETTINGS PAGE Most signature tools make you configure everything in a separate tab or popup.
