Signal: Report bugs & feedback with context developers love
Overview
Record and share detailed bug reports: console logs, network traffic, storage state, environment data, and screencasts.
Streamline your debugging and bug reporting workflow with Signal. This powerful extension allows developers, QA testers, and support teams to capture comprehensive technical details from any web page, share reports via webhooks without leaving the browser. Key Features: 📹 Network & Console Recording: Capture full network traffic (HAR format) and detailed console logs - including errors, warnings, uncaught exceptions, and extended methods like console.table, console.trace, and console.dir - to easily reproduce and analyze unexpected behavior. 🎯 Smart Recording Controls: Start, pause, and stop recording sessions from a simple popup interface. Customize click indicators with adjustable size and color, and configure your recording buffer duration. 📸 Screenshot Editor: Capture the current tab and use the built-in editor to highlight specific elements, freehand draw, or add text annotations to point out bugs clearly. ⏱️ Timeline View: Visualize your entire recording session on an interactive timeline. Drill into Console and Network events directly within the timeline, with built-in filtering and search. 🔁 Session Replay: Replay recorded user events in a new tab with full environment configuration - inject localStorage, sessionStorage, cookies, and execute pre-flight AJAX requests (e.g., for authentication) before replay begins. 🌐 Webhook Sharing: Send reports to any external service via a fully configurable webhook. Define your own multipart/form-data structure with custom field names for file attachments (compressed .zip reports and screenshots) and metadata fields. 🔧 Request Composer: Re-send any captured network request directly from the viewer. Built-in HTTP client supports all methods (GET, POST, PUT, DELETE, PATCH) with editable headers and body. 🔒 Privacy & Security: All recordings are stored locally in your browser and are only shared when you explicitly choose to export or upload them. Configurable anonymization automatically redacts sensitive headers (Authorization, Cookie), localStorage keys, and cookies from exported reports - so you never accidentally share credentials or tokens.
