Sift is a search-first tab manager for people who live in hundreds of tabs. Two keystrokes to jump anywhere. A side panel that never makes you scroll. Tabs that stay exactly where you put them. All of it private, all of it on your machine. WHAT IT DOES • Instant command palette: press the shortcut on any page, type a few letters, hit Enter. Search every tab across every window, like Spotlight for your tabs. • A side panel that never scrolls: your tabs grouped by site and packed to fit, in list / compact / scroll / favicon views. • Smart filters in the search box: is:pinned, is:audible, is:dupe, site:, win:, group:, note: to slice hundreds of tabs in one keystroke. • Pinned "client" tabs: pin or name a tab and it keeps its name, its place, and a default URL it can snap back to, even after it navigates away. • Smart auto-titles for Gmail and Google / Meta ad accounts. • Move tabs between windows from one panel, single or multi-select. • Saved views: one click filters to a set you defined and hides the rest. • Sessions and multi-monitor layouts: save and reopen window arrangements across monitors. • Always-current session backup so a crash never loses your layout. • Per-tab notes and a "monitor" shimmer for tabs you need to check back on. • Merge and split windows, auto-suspend idle tabs, multi-select bulk actions, and a full multi-step undo with a visible activity log. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Sift runs entirely on your computer. It can read tab titles to help you find them, but it cannot read or change the content of any web page.
