Overview

Highlights factual claims as you read. Click one to see what credible sources say, with citations and context, not a verdict.

Fact-check claims as you read. sideproof is an evidence layer for the web: as you read, it quietly underlines the sentences that make checkable factual claims. Click one and sideproof shows you what credible sources actually say: the supporting evidence, the other side, and real links, graded by source quality. It gives you context, not a verdict, then gets out of your way so you can decide for yourself. How it works - Read normally. sideproof underlines checkable claims as you go. Detection runs entirely in your browser. - Click a claim, or press Enter on it, to check it. - A card shows what is really being claimed, what credible sources say, the sources with quality badges, and a short bottom line. Why you will like it - Context, not verdicts. It does not tell you what is "true." It shows the evidence and lets you judge. - Real sources, graded. Results link out to primary and major sources, labeled by quality. - Private by design. Claim detection is local. Only the claim you click is sent off, never your browsing history, and you can turn off sending the surrounding text in settings. - You are in control. Turn it on or off globally or per site, use a keyboard shortcut, and your settings stay on your device. Works on most news sites, articles, blogs, and major feeds. Anywhere there is text making factual claims, the underline can appear. Free to use.
