)Overview
Watch videos in a floating window with an in-video PiP button, 0.25–4× speed controls, and a shortcut back to your tab.
SidePiP lets you watch supported HTML5 videos in a floating window above other windows. Hover over a video and click the small button inside its right edge. SidePiP keeps this button within the video and tries to avoid nearby controls. The floating window includes: • Play and pause. • Mute and unmute. • Seeking for supported recordings. • Playback speeds from 0.25× to 4×, with locally saved preferences per site. • Return to the source tab when you close the window. Controls appear on hover or when using the keyboard. Clicking the video dismisses an open menu without changing playback. When menus are closed, clicking toggles playback. No account or analytics. Settings stay in your browser. Access to website content is needed to find videos and add the button. The extension interface is in English. A browser supporting Document Picture-in-Picture is required. Embedded frames, protected players and live streams may limit functionality. The browser controls the system window frame. Optional automatic PiP depends on the browser's permission to open a window without a click and uses standard PiP.
