Store Description: Sidepad is a side panel companion for capturing and composing structured documents from AI conversations and webpages, saved locally as Markdown files, never uploaded. How it works: - Open Sidepad from the Chrome toolbar - Highlight text on any webpage and press ⌘+Shift+S (or Ctrl+Shift+S) — or right-- click and select "Send to Sidepad" - Your captures appear in the side panel, organized into a document - Add headings, notes, and annotations to structure your document - Save as .md files to a local folder on your computer Key features: • Capture text from LLM chats and pages across the web. • Structured Markdown documents — organize captures with headings and notes. Every snippet links back to its source URL and platform. • Local-first storage — documents are saved as standard .md files on your computer using the File System Access API. No cloud, no account, no sign-up. • Keyboard-driven workflow — ⌘+Shift+S to capture, ⌘+Shift+P to open the panel. Fast enough to use mid-conversation. • Source attribution — each capture automatically records where it came from, so you can always trace back to the original. • Drag and drop — reorder captures, headings, and notes by dragging them into position. • Works offline — everything runs locally in your browser.
