A simple Chrome extension for quickly recording ideas on any webpage and sending them to Obsidian.

Sidenote2obsidian Extension This Chrome extension allows you to quickly jot down ideas on any webpage and send them to your Obsidian notes. It relies on the community plugin Obsidian Local REST API for automated interaction with Obsidian via a secure REST API. Key Features: 1.Quickly capture ideas from any webpage 2. Automatically send notes to Obsidian 3. Customizable note save paths for convenience Usage Instructions: 1. In Obsidian, install and enable the Local REST API plugin. 2. After installing this Chrome extension, click the extension button to open the dialog. 3. Enter the API Key from the Local REST API settings page in the Obsidian APP. 4. Set the note save path (leave empty to save in the root directory). 5. Ensure the Obsidian APP is open, then click the floating ball to start writing notes.
