Overview

Clip text and images into a pinned research deck, organize with boards, and export a cited Markdown compilation.

Keep your research in one place, right next to the page. SideDeck Pro lives in Chrome's native side panel. Select any text or right-click any image, choose "Send to SideDeck," and it lands in a tidy, reverse-ordered deck with a link back to where it came from. Add notes under each clip while the context is still fresh, then export the whole thing as a clean Markdown file when you're ready to write. No accounts. No syncing your reading to a server. Everything stays in your browser. What you can do - Clip selected text or images from any page with a right-click. - See every clip with its source link and timestamp, newest first. - Add notes under each clip; they save as you type. - Search across your clips, notes, and sources. - Export everything to Markdown — blockquotes for text, image embeds, source links, and your notes, ready to paste into a doc. Premium (one-time $4.99) - Unlimited clips (the free tier holds 10). - Categorization boards: group clips into boards and filter by them. - Board-grouped Markdown export. Premium is a single one-time payment through ExtensionPay/Stripe — no subscription. Private by design SideDeck Pro stores your clips locally with Chrome's storage. It has no analytics, never tracks your browsing, and only ever reads the specific text or image you choose to clip. New in 1.2 - Write mode: draft a document beside your clips and drop them in as cited, footnoted quotes. Footnotes renumber themselves and the reference list builds as you write. Open it full-window with Focus, and back up your whole deck to one file anytime. v1.2 Pro features (add to the description): Premium now also includes Citation Export - copy a citation (APA / MLA / Chicago) from any clip, or export the whole deck as BibTeX (.bib) or RIS (.ris) for Zotero/Mendeley/EndNote - plus Web page export, a self-contained, cited, offline HTML page to share. All client-side, $0 to run, no new permission. (Honest note: citations are "draft" form - site + accessed-date + the fragment; real author/publish-date awaits v1.3 metadata capture, so they finish in a reference manager.)
