Sidecore AI
Overview
AI assistant in Chrome Side Panel — summarize pages, ask questions about tabs, use your own LLM provider.
Sidecore AI brings a powerful AI assistant directly into Chrome's Side Panel. Select any open tabs, and get instant summaries, answers, and analysis — without copy-pasting content between windows. Key features: - Side Panel AI chat — always accessible alongside your browsing, no tab switching needed - Multi-tab context — select multiple tabs with @ mentions and ask questions across all of them at once - Smart content extraction — automatically converts web pages to clean text using Mozilla Readability, with optimized extractors for Reddit and X/Twitter - Bring your own AI (BYOK) — works with any OpenAI-compatible API (OpenAI, Anthropic via proxy, Ollama, LM Studio, OpenRouter, and more) - Context menu actions — right-click any page to "Summarize this page" or "Ask about this page" - Privacy-first design — no telemetry, no tracking, no data collection. Your API keys and chat history stay in local browser storage - Budget-aware context — intelligently manages token budgets across multiple tabs so you stay within model limits - HTTP MCP Support - Add Firecrawl and hundreds of other MCPs and flexibly configure available tools How it works: 1. Click the extension icon to open the Side Panel 2. Configure your preferred AI provider in Settings 3. Type @ to select tabs as context, then ask your question Sidecore AI processes content only from tabs you explicitly select. All AI requests go directly to your configured provider — we never see your data. Open source. No account required. No subscription.
