Overview

Puts YouTube comments in a scrollable sidebar next to the video, with related videos below. One switch to turn it off.

Sidecast puts YouTube's comments where you can read them while you watch: in a scrollable sidebar next to the video. Related videos move below the player. WHAT IT DOES • Comments in a sidebar beside the player, scrolling on their own without moving the video • Related videos below the video instead of beside it • One switch in the toolbar popup turns it on or off; your choice is remembered and follows your Chrome profile • The popup tells you what Sidecast is doing on the current tab WHERE IT STAYS OUT OF THE WAY • Shorts, live streams, and videos with comments turned off keep YouTube's own layout • When the window is too narrow for two columns, Sidecast steps aside and comes back once the window is widened • Works in theater mode and with YouTube's light and dark themes PRIVACY • Collects nothing, stores nothing but the on/off setting, and sends nothing anywhere • Runs only on youtube.com and only rearranges what YouTube has already loaded • No accounts, no analytics, no servers
