For a product demo, tutorial, or marketing video, viewers need to see the feature—not the entire dashboard. Typical screen recording captures the whole browser; then you crop, trim, and export. If the detail you need occupied a small part of the original frame, enlarging it from compressed footage can soften text and controls. Sicorder is a Chrome extension for partial screen recording: select a webpage element, and the saved MP4 is framed to that area. That removes the separate crop-and-export step. The MP4 is still encoded video, but you avoid upscaling and re-encoding a crop after recording.
