Shush

Mute specific tabs for a duration to stay focused and undisturbed.

Shush is a small, simple extension that lets you mute any tab for a set amount of time — and takes care of unmuting it for you when the time is up. WHAT IT DOES • Timed muting — pick 5 min, 15 min, 30 min, 1 hour, 2 hours, or mute with no time limit • Auto-unmute — tabs quietly come back on their own when the timer runs out • Gentle notification — a small desktop notice lets you know when a tab has been unmuted • Mute a few tabs at once — handy when more than one thing is making noise • Live countdown — a simple view shows how much time is left for each muted tab • Remembers your mutes — muted tabs stay muted even if you restart Chrome • Easy to undo — cancel any mute with a single click, anytime A GOOD FIT FOR • Silencing an ad or video while you focus on something else • Keeping things quiet during a call, without forgetting to turn sound back on • Stepping away from music or a stream and coming back to it later PRIVACY Shush doesn't collect, share, or send any data anywhere.
