Overview
Create one-time self-destructing secrets with Shush.
Shush lets you share confidential information safely. Instead of sending sensitive details in chat or email, create a one-time secret link. When the recipient opens it, the message instantly disappears forever. Key features 🔒 Self-destructing secrets – each link can be opened only once. ⏱️ Timed expiry – set secrets to auto-delete after 1 hour, 1 day, or a custom time even if unopened. 📨 Email notification – receive an alert when a secret is opened. 🧾 QR-code share – generate a QR for easy, secure sharing across devices. ⚙️ Built-in rate-limiting – prevents spam or abuse. 🌐 Offline-hosted API – all data processed on the Shush server (https://shush.16j.net ) running over HTTPS with modern TLS encryption. Use cases Share temporary passwords or 2FA recovery codes Send private contract details or client credentials Exchange secure messages that shouldn’t remain in chat history Security overview Messages are transmitted only via HTTPS (TLS 1.3). Each secret is stored in volatile memory and deleted immediately after viewing or expiry. No third-party analytics, cookies, or trackers. Your email address (if provided) is used solely for the optional “opened” notification. Shush is designed to make one-time communication simple, transparent, and secure — no sign-up, no data retention, no ads.
