Shuovo voice typing for any text field in Chrome

Shuovo is a voice keyboard for Chrome: dictation and speech to text in any text box on any website, built for thoughts that take a few minutes and a few pauses to get out. Most dictation tools are for when you already know what you want to say and want it typed faster. Hold a key, speak a sentence, release. They work well for that, and they assume the thought is finished before you start. Shuovo is for the other kind of thought. You start explaining a bug to an AI assistant, go quiet for fourteen seconds to remember a number, check something in another tab, keep talking, change your mind. Eight minutes and nine hundred words later you click stop, and one clean draft lands in the text box you started in. That is a real session. In five weeks of the founder's own use — 509 sessions, 17 a day — one in three ran past a minute, the longest ran 19, and four in ten seconds were silence. Every one of those pauses is where ordinary dictation would have ended the session. Shuovo treats it as the middle. OPEN ANOTHER TAB. IT'S STILL LISTENING. Start talking, then go and check — the email, the spreadsheet, the docs, the other AI chat. Switch tabs, read, come back and pick up mid-thought. One session, one draft, however many places you had to look. NINETEEN MINUTES YOU CAN'T LOSE TO A GLITCH There is no session cap — the longest of the founder's 509 sessions ran 19 minutes, in Chinese, about 1,700 words. Audio is uploaded in pieces while you are still talking, and a recording that did not get through — connection dropped, tab closed — is kept, so you can retry it instead of saying it all again. A long session is handled as a long session, not as a short one that got lucky. A DRAFT, NOT A TRANSCRIPT Filler words, restarts, and the three times you said "actually, no" are cleaned up. What lands has paragraphs and punctuation, and the structure you were reaching for out loud. The raw transcript is one click away if you want it. SPEND LESS TIME FIXING THE RESULT Shuovo is tuned for the time between finishing speaking and having text you would actually send, not for shaving the last second off transcription. It is not the fastest at a single sentence. Over an eight-minute session it means fewer wrong names, fewer mangled numbers, and less of the draft you have to re-read. 中文 + ENGLISH, NO SWITCHING Speak Chinese, drop into English, switch back mid-sentence — no language toggle, no IME shortcut. Say it the way you would say it to a colleague who speaks both; one in three of the founder's sessions is Chinese or both, and the English terms stay English. ZERO HOTKEYS, JUST CLICKS A small dictate button appears beside the text box you click into. One click to talk, one click to stop — no key to hold for eight minutes, nothing to remember. Shuovo comes from years of typing 6–7 hours a day with wrists that had stopped forgiving it, when even "press to talk" was a press too many. WORKS WHERE YOU ACTUALLY TYPE Most desktop writing happens in the browser — email, docs, chats, tickets, prompts to ChatGPT or Claude. The draft lands in whichever of those you started in. You will still reach for the keyboard for passwords, logins, and the occasional terminal command, and for the last two words you want to fix. WHERE YOUR AUDIO GOES Your recordings are processed for transcription only. If you would rather your audio never pass through a speech-to-text provider on our account, you can connect your own free Groq key instead.
