Overview

See the server IP address of every website you open, IPv4 or IPv6. Copy it in one click. No lookup service, works on localhost.

Which server is this page really coming from? Show IP puts the IP address of the current website in a small box at the bottom of the page, the moment it loads. No need to open a terminal, run ping or nslookup, or paste the domain into an online IP checker. HOW IT WORKS 1. Install Show IP. 2. Open any website. The server IP shows in the bottom corner. 3. Click the IP to copy it. Click the toolbar icon for the HTTP status and cache details. WHY DEVELOPERS USE IT • The real IP. Show IP reads the address Chrome actually connected to, not a fresh DNS lookup. Check which server, load balancer or CDN edge answered after a DNS change or a deploy. • No outside service. The IP comes from Chrome itself. No request to a lookup API, so it works on localhost, staging and internal sites, and nothing about your browsing leaves your computer. • IPv4 and IPv6. • HTTP status code and "served from cache" in the popup. FEATURES • Server IP on every page, in a small box that stays out of the way. • One click copies the IP. • Move the box to the left or right corner. Show IP remembers your choice. • Turn the box off and see the IP only in the popup ("Show IP on pages"). • Light and fast: no account, no settings page, no ads. WHO IT IS FOR Web developers, DevOps and sysadmins checking DNS changes and server moves, SEO specialists checking hosting and CDN setups, and anyone who wants to know where a website is served from. PRIVACY IP addresses and site names stay in your browser and are cleared when you close it. We count anonymous usage events (install, popup opened, settings changed) with Aptabase. We never send the sites you visit or their IP addresses. Full policy: https://www.thetechbasket.com/privacy-policy/ Note: behind a proxy or some VPNs, Chrome connects to the proxy, so Show IP shows the proxy IP.
