Shoulder Shield: Hide Images, Videos & Text

Replaces, blurs or hides images, videos and text on chosen websites so nobody looking over your shoulder can see them

Working in a café, on a train, or sharing your screen? Shoulder Shield keeps what's on the page to yourself. Pick the sites you want protected, and Shoulder Shield takes care of them every time you visit: IMAGES • Replace them with random photos of the same shape, your own image, or a neutral placeholder • Or blur or hide them VIDEOS • Calm nature clips play in place of videos, right inside the site's player, so play, pause and the other controls keep working • Or blur or hide them • Videos stay muted, and picture-in-picture is blocked so nothing escapes the page TEXT • Scramble: every letter becomes a random one of the same case, so the layout stays the same but nothing can be read • Or blur or hide text • Fields you type into always stay readable ALWAYS AT HAND • Panic button: hide everything on every site with Alt+Shift+H, press again to undo • Peek: hold Ctrl+Alt to see the page as it is, let go to hide it again • Protect or unprotect the current site with Alt+Shift+S or from the right-click menu • Reveal a single image or video from the right-click menu • Mask the tab title and icon • "Hide once" for a site you don't want to save Works in iframes and inside web components too. Images, videos and text each have their own mode, so you can, for example, scramble text but leave images alone. PRIVACY Shoulder Shield collects no data and has no servers. Random photos load from picsum.photos, turn them off to load nothing from outside the extension.
