ShortKit adds playback, media-saving and organization tools to TikTok and Douyin on the web. WATCH AND LISTEN - Playback speed, seeking, volume controls, background playback—including photo-carousel soundtracks—floating-player options and auto-pause. - Equalizer presets, volume normalization and optional rotating stereo audio. - Rotate, zoom, clean viewing and appearance options, plus keyboard shortcuts. SAVE AND ORGANIZE - Download supported videos and photo posts, with quality choices where available. - Douyin file sizes come from the verified CDN response. A compact in-page panel shows percentage, total size when available, and speed as soon as a download starts. Verified videos from 64 MiB use two to eight parallel HTTP byte-range connections when the CDN confirms support and the user chooses a destination; other downloads use Chrome's native download manager. Unavailable, incomplete or mismatched files are rejected. - Bulk download selected posts from supported profile lists. The bulk video path selects one verified video variant per post; a photo post saves its individual images. Separate soundtrack and cover downloads are not added by the bulk path. - Save available audio tracks, available TikTok subtitles or video-frame screenshots separately when requested. - Resolve supported live-stream links and use available recording/download options. - Create playlists, use the playlist player and import/export playlist files. UNDERSTAND AND MANAGE - View available creator/post statistics and tagged-product information; export supported creator data. - Play supported Shop-video sources when a playable source can be resolved. - View local recent-video history and watch-time statistics; set personal viewing limits. - Translate built-in Douyin interface labels locally. After separate opt-in, optional online translation sends text currently visible on public Douyin browsing pages—including thumbnail/video titles, captions, public live comments and unfamiliar public components—to Google Translate. Private messaging, editable fields, search history, account/private pages and unsupported routes are excluded; profile/following/friends pages allow only recognized public post captions and comments inside an opened video overlay; offscreen dynamic text waits until it becomes visible. - Optional TikTok Story receipt and profile-event blocking. These block selected known endpoints and do not guarantee invisibility in viewer lists. - Account Cleanup lets you start supported unfollow, unlike, remove-favorite or undo-repost operations from the platform interface. DATA AND NETWORK USE ShortKit stores watch history, playlists and usage statistics locally. Preferences may sync through Chrome. Media-link resolution for downloads, playlists and enabled Shop playback can send the relevant post URL to Tikwm, TTGet, Douyin.wtf or Tiklydown; Shop media preparation reuses page metadata; third-party media resolution starts when playback is requested. Normal browsing no longer probes product pages automatically. A visibly blocked TikTok video may trigger a platform product lookup. Optional online translation sends the selected text and language to Google. These services and media hosts receive normal connection metadata, including IP addresses. Platform requests may use your existing platform session. There is no developer-run advertising or analytics backend in the extension. Feature availability and media quality depend on the platform, accessible source and service availability. Use downloads only for content you own or are permitted to save.
