Short Shorts adds a full set of keyboard shortcuts to YouTube Shorts, matching most of the controls available on regular YouTube videos. Playback K or Space : Play / Pause C : Captions on/off Volume = : Volume up 5% — : Volume down 5% Seek ← / → : Skip back / forward 5 seconds J / L : Skip back / forward 10 seconds 0–9 : Jump to 0%, 10%, 20%... 90% of the video Frame-by-frame (while paused) , : Previous frame . : Next frame Extra Shortcuts (optional, on by default) Enable these in the popup for additional controls: D : Show / hide description E : Show / hide comments Q : Like W : Dislike Fully Customisable Every shortcut can be reassigned to any key you prefer. Click the extension icon, hit MODIFY next to any shortcut, and press your preferred key. Changes take effect instantly across all open YouTube tabs. Privacy First No data collected. No servers. No tracking. Your shortcut preferences are stored locally in your browser using Chrome's built-in storage. Only active on youtube.com/shorts.
