ShopOwner HQ Sidebar brings ShopOwner HQ accountability tools directly into Chrome’s side panel while you work on a repair order in Tekmetric. Instead of switching between tabs, authorized ShopOwner HQ users can open the sidebar alongside the active repair order to: • View the matching ShopOwner HQ workflow context • Review repair-order notes and accountability activity • Add ShopOwner HQ notes • Document sales-accountability actions • Route existing audit cards and workflow items • Keep relevant ShopOwner HQ information visible while working HOW IT WORKS When you open a supported Tekmetric repair-order page, the extension uses the repair-order URL to identify the applicable location and repair-order number. It then connects that repair order to the corresponding record in your signed-in ShopOwner HQ workspace. The extension does not inspect the content of Tekmetric pages, read passwords or authentication cookies, access private Tekmetric APIs, automate Tekmetric controls, or make changes inside Tekmetric. Notes and workflow actions are saved only to ShopOwner HQ after the user explicitly submits them. PRIVACY AND ACCESS The extension displays a privacy disclosure before connecting for the first time. It does not access the active repair-order URL until the user selects “Agree and connect.” Access is controlled through the user’s existing ShopOwner HQ account and shop permissions. Users must be signed in to ShopOwner HQ and authorized to access the applicable repair shop. The extension requests only the Chrome permissions needed to: • Display ShopOwner HQ in Chrome’s side panel • Remember the user’s privacy choice and limited connection state • Recognize supported repair-order URLs • Connect securely with the signed-in ShopOwner HQ application The extension does not sell user data or use extension data for personalized advertising.
