Overview

See which Shopify theme you're on. Name your Live, Staging and QA themes, switch in one click, and get warned if you lose a preview.

Always know which Shopify theme you're looking at. Shopify's preview bar disappears, preview sessions expire, and shared links quietly drop the theme. Suddenly you're testing on Live without realising it. Shopify Theme Manager fixes that for developers, agencies and QA teams. WHAT IT DOES • A small badge on every storefront page shows the environment you're on: LIVE, STAGING, QA, or any label you choose. Hover to see the theme ID. • Click the badge to switch the page to any other environment. Your path and query parameters are kept. • Lost-preview warning: if you meant to be on Staging and silently land on Live, a banner tells you and brings you back in one click. • The toolbar icon shows the current environment on every tab (LIVE, STG, QA…), so you can tell without even looking at the page. • Works on stores you haven't set up yet: the badge shows whether you're on the live theme or a preview, and you can add the store in one click. SET UP ONCE • Add a store and map each environment (Live, Staging, Pre-Production, QA, Dev, UAT or your own labels) to a theme ID. • Paste a theme editor URL or a preview link and the ID is pulled out for you. • Colour-code environments, add notes, drag to reorder. • Custom domains are supported: Chrome asks for access to just the domains you add. SHARE WITH YOUR TEAM • Copy a share code for one store or everything, and teammates paste it into Import. • Before anything is saved, Import shows exactly what will be added or changed. Nothing is silently overwritten. • Export and import JSON files for backups. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • No accounts, no servers, no analytics. Your setup is stored in Chrome sync storage and follows you to every Chrome you're signed in to. • Runs only on *.myshopify.com, Shopify preview links, and the custom domains you add. Shopify Theme Manager is an independent tool and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Shopify Inc.
