Shop Wingman is an AI assistant for automotive service advisors and technicians who use Tekmetric. It opens as a side panel next to the repair order you already have on screen, so you can get through inspections, customer write-ups, and follow-up bookings without leaving the page or switching tabs. Four tools, one panel • DVI Wingman — Reads a completed Digital Vehicle Inspection and turns it into an advisor-ready briefing: a plain-language customer note, a talk track for the conversation, and an internal technical breakdown grouped by priority. • Estimate Wingman — Reads the technician concerns on an estimate, fills each one with the canned job or jobs the shop uses for it, notes when the vehicle already had that job recently, leaves concerns the technician marked checked alone, and adds the jobs to the repair order in the order the advisor sets. • Tech Wingman — Built for the technician in the bay: equipment operation guides, guided diagnostics, and step-by-step repair procedures for the specific vehicle on the lift. • Appointment Wingman — Turns deferred and declined work into the next appointment. It tracks the service interval, drafts the outreach, and books the visit back into Tekmetric. Underneath all four, a Wingman AI chat dock stays aware of the repair order you have open, so you can ask anything in plain English and get an answer grounded in that vehicle's history. How it talks Shop Wingman writes the way a good advisor talks: calm, specific, and educational. It explains what a service does and why it matters, frames recommendations around safety and reliability, and never uses pressure or fear to sell. Each shop configures its own vocabulary and tone. Connecting your shop Shop Wingman connects to Tekmetric through Tekmetric's official partner OAuth integration. You sign in once at shopwingman.app and the side panel picks up the session automatically. Repair order data is processed in real time to generate responses and is not used to train any AI model. Shop Wingman is built and used daily by Cardinal Plaza Shell, an automotive service center in Springfield, VA.
