Shine: behavioral pattern learning, video coverage and smooth YouTube.

Shine Core combines conventional filtering with local behavioral protection to make supported websites quieter and easier to use. • Blocks known advertising and tracking requests using bundled filtering rules. • Recognizes advertising containers, banners, embedded widgets, advertising loaders and intrusive popup destinations. • Cleans supported video-ad formats, including VAST and VMAP, while preserving ordinary responses when the evidence is uncertain. • Provides a dedicated Smooth YouTube mode for supported browser playback. This is not a modification of the official YouTube mobile app. • Learns bounded, site-scoped patterns on your device after repeated confirmed observations, and withdraws learned rules when useful content or breakage is detected. This is structural learning, not a cloud AI service. • Checks its background engine and repairs supported rule/script synchronization problems without asking you to switch the extension off and on. • Offers family controls, site exceptions, rollback and a diagnostic Observatory. Recording is off by default and requires an explicit recording session. Your browsing data is processed locally. Shine does not send your browsing history, page content or diagnostic recordings to the developer. Reports are saved locally only when you choose to export them. Please review an exported report before sharing it; redaction reduces sensitive details but is not a guarantee of anonymity. Why access to websites is needed Shine needs access to the pages you protect to recognize advertising elements, inspect supported player/ad structures and apply blocking or cleanup. Tab and navigation access helps associate the current site and recover after page changes. Reports you explicitly export are saved using a normal download link, without an extra downloads API permission. The extension does not need a Shine account. Limits Not every advertisement or player is supported. Encrypted, server-inserted video advertising, inaccessible frames and unsupported players may remain unchanged. When a proposed action is ambiguous or fails verification, adaptive protection fails open or quarantines it. No claim of universal ad removal is made.
