Shimmer Tab is a calm, animated new tab page in the style of the Helium browser, built with Helium's own UI kit (Prism). It works in Helium and any other Chromium browser. WALLPAPERS THAT FLOW • Helium's animated shimmer, a drifting starfield with subtle cursor parallax, random or none • Switching wallpapers flows one into the other instead of cutting • Opening a tab on the starfield drops you out of hyperspace SEARCH WITH BANGS • Type anywhere on the page to start searching • Bangs like !yt, !w, !gh jump straight to a site's search, from Helium's own bang catalog • Autocomplete as you type "!", and a clean service chip like the address bar's keyword mode SHORTCUTS THAT LOOK RIGHT • Crisp vector logos for hundreds of popular services • Every logo optically sized so they all look the same size • Optional containers, one-color tinting, hidden names, lock and drag to reorder AND • Date, time and weather (Open-Meteo) with a details tooltip • Most visited sites (optional) • Focus mode: just the search bar • Light and dark themes, optional match with your browser's theme color • Export and import your settings PRIVATE BY DESIGN No accounts, no analytics, no ads.
