ShieldBet Companion works alongside the main ShieldBet extension to support accountability and protection monitoring. The companion service helps detect whether the primary ShieldBet protection extension has been removed or disabled while protection is active. If a protection-related event is detected, the system can securely notify the user’s trusted accountability partner. This extension does not track browsing history, analyse webpage content, or collect unrelated browser activity. It operates only to support ShieldBet’s accountability and protection features. Features include: • Extension-presence monitoring • Authenticated communication with the main ShieldBet extension • Duplicate-alert prevention • Trusted-partner accountability notifications • Local operational state management ShieldBet Companion is designed solely for gambling-harm reduction and accountability support.
