🛡️ Use AI tools without leaking your passwords, bank details or customer data. Prompts often carry more than the question: an email address, an IBAN, an API key, a password buried in a log. Shield finds them and swaps each one for a placeholder before your text leaves your hands. ✨ How it works • Right-click any text field and choose "Protect with Shield". Every sensitive value in it is replaced in place: jane@acme.com becomes [EMAIL_1], a card number becomes [CREDIT_CARD_1]. • Select text anywhere else on a page and do the same: the protected version goes straight to your clipboard. • A small Shield icon shows how many values were protected. Click it to see them by category, and click a category to put those values back if the AI needs them. • Or open the Shield popup, paste your text, review the highlights and copy the protected version. The same value always gets the same placeholder, so the AI can still follow along ("send it to [EMAIL_1], cc [EMAIL_1]"). 🔍 What Shield catches • Secrets: passwords, API keys, private keys, tokens, database connection strings • Financial: card numbers, IBANs, bank codes, crypto wallets • Contact: email and IP addresses, plus any names you add yourself • ID numbers: social security, tax and national IDs from the US, India, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Belgium and Poland Card, bank and ID numbers are checksum-verified, so ordinary numbers are left alone. 🔒 Private by design • Everything runs on your device.
