Shepherd Capture

Capture the current tab into a Shepherd task.

Shepherd Capture turns the tab you're looking at into an actionable task on your own self-hosted Shepherd — without leaving the page. Press Alt+Shift+S (or click the toolbar icon) and capture: • A screenshot — the visible area, the full page, or a single element you pick • The page's URL and title • Optional diagnostics, only when you switch them on: – an axe-core accessibility audit of the page – buffered console errors/warnings and uncaught exceptions – failed network requests Then send it where it belongs: • Spawn a live Shepherd session to start working the capture immediately, or • File an issue in the right repository URL→repo routing rules match the page you're on to the correct project, so every capture lands in the right place automatically — no manual sorting. YOUR SERVER, YOUR DATA Shepherd Capture is a companion to a Shepherd core that you run yourself. Everything it captures is sent only to the server you configure: • your local machine (http://localhost:7330), or • your own Shepherd over Tailscale (https://<host>.ts.net) Nothing is ever sent to the extension's authors or to any third party. Your settings and access token stay in your browser's local storage and are never synced to any account. MINIMAL, RUNTIME-GRANTED PERMISSIONS Access is scoped tightly. Only localhost is granted at install. Reaching a remote Shepherd over Tailscale, and enabling console/network recording, are optional permissions you grant at runtime — and can revoke at any time from chrome://extensions. REQUIREMENTS You need a running Shepherd instance that you host yourself. Shepherd Capture does nothing on its own — it's the browser front door to a server you control.
