A local-only dark mode for Google Sheets. No analytics, accounts, or data collection.

Give Google Sheets a darker, more comfortable appearance with Sheets After Hours. Choose Dark, Light, or System from the toolbar popup. Your preference applies across your open Google Sheets tabs and stays saved on your device. SIMPLE APPEARANCE CONTROLS • Dark: darkens the Sheets interface and spreadsheet grid. • Light: restores the original appearance. • System: follows your operating system’s light or dark preference. PRIVACY BY DESIGN No data collection, analytics, ads, tracking, or external services. The extension makes no network requests and does not read spreadsheet cells, formulas, document titles, or account details. Only your appearance preference is stored locally. YOUR SPREADSHEETS STAY THE SAME The extension changes how Sheets looks in your browser. It does not change your data, formulas, or saved formatting. Printing retains the original appearance. Dark mode changes displayed colors, including colored cells, charts, and images inside the spreadsheet. Switch to Light whenever you need to check original colors. WHY SITE ACCESS IS NEEDED Access to Google Sheets pages lets the extension apply its visual theme automatically. Chrome may describe this as permission to read and change data on docs.google.com; the extension only changes the page’s appearance. GET STARTED Install the extension, reload any existing Sheets tabs, and pin Sheets After Hours in Chrome’s extensions menu. Open the popup to choose your appearance.
