Sheaf Capture
Overview
Capture the current page or selected text to Sheaf with one click.
Sheaf Capture puts a thought into your notebook without making you leave the page you are reading. Click the toolbar button and the page you are on is captured — its title, its address, and anything you had selected. Or right-click a selection, a link, or the page itself and choose "Capture to Sheaf". Either way it lands in your notebook, where Sheaf files it for you. Nothing is organised at the moment of capture. That is the point: the first few seconds are for catching the thought, and deciding where it belongs is work for later — or for the librarian, which sorts most of it without being asked. This extension is a companion to Sheaf, a calm single-user notes app. You need a Sheaf account to use it. Connecting takes one click and opens sheafnotes.com, which hands the extension a session; nothing else on your machine can do that, and no password ever passes through the extension. WHAT IT DOES NOT DO It does not read the pages you visit. It has no access to any site until you invoke it, and when you do, it reads only the current tab's title, address, and your selection. It runs no code on pages you have not asked it to capture. It sends nothing anywhere except your own Sheaf account. There is no analytics, no tracking, no third party, and nothing is sold or shared.
