Shadow shows you how your work actually happens: the recurring tasks, the apps you bounce between, and the steps worth automating. This extension is the browser half of that picture. WHAT IT DOES It records which web pages you work in and for how long — the page address, its title, and when you arrived and left. Shadow's desktop app already sees your other applications; this extension fills in the browser, so a workflow that runs through your CRM, a spreadsheet, and email is reconstructed as one workflow, not three fragments. WHAT IT DOES NOT DO It does not read page contents, form fields, or anything you type. It does not record keystrokes, take screenshots, or track you outside the browser. Passwords, tokens, and sign-in codes that appear in a web address are redacted before anything leaves your computer. When you're idle, it records nothing. WHO IT'S FOR People and teams using Shadow. You need a Shadow account, and the extension connects to your workspace with one click from the Shadow dashboard — there's nothing to configure. Everything it records goes only to your own Shadow workspace, is visible to you in your dashboard, and is deleted after 30 days. WHY INSTALL IT Because most work happens in a browser, and without it Shadow's map of your day has a hole in the middle.
