SessionKeep is a Chrome extension that saves your open tabs as named sessions on this device, restores them later, and lets you export a JSON backup—without creating an account or sending your tabs to our servers. What SessionKeep does • Save — Capture all tabs in the current window into a named session (title + URL for each tab). • Restore — Open a saved session in a new Chrome window so your existing windows and tabs stay open. • List & manage — See your saved sessions, rename or delete them from the extension popup. • Export — Download sessions as a JSON file you control (your backup / source of truth). • Import — Load a previously exported JSON after reinstalling the extension or on another Chrome profile. How to use it 1. Click the SessionKeep icon while you have the tabs you want to keep. 2. Save the current window as a named session. 3. Later, pick that session and Restore to open it in a new window. 4. Use Export to download a JSON backup; use Import to bring a backup back. What stays local • Session data is stored in IndexedDB in your browser profile on this device. • No SessionKeep account is required for save / restore / export / import. • We do not run a SessionKeep cloud sync server for this free local workflow. Permissions (plain language) • Tabs — Read tab URLs and titles when you save or restore a session. • Windows — Open a restored session in a new window without closing your existing ones. • Unlimited storage — Keep larger local session lists in IndexedDB on this device.
