Doesn't actually save "sessions", only groups of tabs. Very misleading.

The Search feature doesn't actually search, it merely highlights the term you're trying to search for, making it practically useless if you have hundreds of tabs open. It should dynamically filter the list of tabs so that you only see tabs in the list that contain the search term. This is software UX 101.
The search feature is supposed to search sessions & tabs. But it only filters sessions, and highlights tabs because some sessions may contain the term you're searching for in its title, therefore you would want to see the whole list of tabs for that session. The second point is if you're filtering thousands of tabs with hundreds of sessions, this is gonna consume a huge amount of memory that it may crash the browser.

For the most part this is a good extension that can replace or supplement session buddy since the recent version update of SB screwed up the extension eliminating good features but my biggest gripe is that if you want to save a session you need to select settings which opens a new tab and then save it instead of it having the save feature on the current tab. I can't stand when you have to go through hoops just to do a single task. Second gripe is that they limit the character amounts when na... Show more
I'm not sure what you mean by that. You can save the session without opening any new tab using multiple ways. You can right-click in the same tab and click "Save Session". Or you can open the popup and click on the save icon / or hotkey "S" without leaving the tab you're in. You can also right-click the extension icon and save the session without leaving the tab. I'll push an update to increase the character limit for the session name though going beyond 40 is not that useful as the name will not be shown fully because it will be too long. Edit: 1- Oh now I understand you. I can make that change. Will be added in the next update though I don't think other extensions do that. At least not Tab Session Manager? In Session Buddy, you'd still have to go to the tab where you save the sessions, is that correct? I can add it via a hotkey or in the right-click menu. 2- I'm going to rewrite some parts of the extension in a month or two, which may be given a rethought at that time though currently viewing 40 characters is fair enough (Other extensions do that too). Maybe a resizer would be a better option.
