Overview
Save local browser session snapshots, restore tabs, and export portable backups.
Session Rescue saves local browser session snapshots so you can restore tabs after accidental loss and keep portable JSON backups without an account, backend, or cloud sync. What it does: - Save a manual snapshot of normal browser windows and restorable tabs. - Search saved sessions by tab title, URL, or domain. - Restore a selected snapshot into a new Chrome window. - Export and import JSON backups. - Delete snapshots or clear all local snapshots. - Enable optional autosave from the popup after reviewing the local-only behavior. Privacy model: Session Rescue stores tab URLs, titles, window grouping, pinned and active state, and capture timestamps locally in IndexedDB in your Chrome profile. Autosave is off by default. It does not read page content, form fields, cookies, or passwords. It does not send session data, searches, imports, exports, or usage events to a backend service. No analytics or ads are included.
