For me it works perfectly 👍 Kudos to developer. Bravo, amazing! Super simple, clean. Love the History panel.

the new version of the plug in didn't save opened tabs - everything lost after browser crashed.

Make sure you're looking in the right place. Previous Sessions are now in the History panel. You may need to open it. See: https://sessionbuddy.com/v4-faq/

O.M.G. I So wanted to like this b.c it is like Toby but less restrictive. However, how in the heck do you even use it? The videos show the old version - which I think I would like 100x more. Developer, tell me there is another way... I open tabs that go on "This browser" ONLY (I can not find a way to put them in an existing collection or, more important, an existing folder in a collection - they ONLY go on "This Browser, which is incredibly limiting) I then click various tabs I want to save... Not sure I completely understand what you're trying to achieve, but you can select whatever tabs you want to save, then right-click and click "Save & close". This creates a new collection containing the desired tabs. If you want to save the tabs you're closing to an EXISTING collection, simply click Copy before closing, then Paste into the desired collection.

how to roll back, I like old version, now it can't auto backup and the UI is not clear to open the save browser

Auto saves are now stored in the History panel instead of a "Previous Sessions" list. You may need to expand the panel. See: https://sessionbuddy.com/v4-faq/ v4 actually improves coverage for auto saves with the introduction of scheduled snapshots. v3 only auto saved on browser close/crash.

this update is atrocious. way harder to close tabs. way harder to reopen them. needless UI finagling. classic tech app reboot that absolutely no one asked for. and just like always, the developer is like "look! we fixed it!" and then it STILL. SUCKS.

To be fair, a lot of reviews like yours are from folks who are reacting to change without taking the time to explore or read about the new capabilities. Your two claims are good examples: > way harder to close tabs You can now select multiple tabs and close them all at once by hitting Delete, but if you prefer to click an "x" icon next to each one to close them individually as was previously the only way to close tabs, you can enable that behavior in Settings > Other so it will work exactly as you're used to. > way harder to reopen them Opening collections, folders, and links has not changed. It's the same menus, same number of clicks, etc. Opening a single link is also still a one-click action as before. In addition, link selection now allows you to open any subset of folders and links from a collection. It would be helpful to know why precisely you believe opening or closing tabs is "way harder" with the new version but as so many of these interactions go, that explanation is unlikely to be forthcoming.

This recent update just deleted all of my sessions. What is going on man? This can't keep happening.

Tabs loads are no longer delayed by default. See release notes for v4.0.3 (released over a month ago): https://sessionbuddy.com/release-4-0-3/

Absolutely unreliable and unusable. I've lost all of my sessions several times now. It started few weeks ago at 3.5 to 4.0 ninja auto upgrade (lost several years of named sessions) then managed to partially recover some of them only to have everything erased again today when they pushed an auto-update! All my sessions completely GONE, again. Only this time no backup! This extension went from stable and reliable to an absolutely unusable piece of trash. It doesn't matter what excuses you prov... for some reason I lost all my saved sessions, not sure if it was because of an upgrade of the extension itself or if it was something related to my system but I recommend you guys to add a function to do export backups regularly automatically that get saved in some directory we choose so we can import them if something happens, I have lost my sessions like 4 times already with lots of important sessions saved its a pitty, since I did not had the opportunity to export them but with a feature l...
