If this has happened to you more than once, you likely have a disk cleaner or other app that is regularly removing browser extension data. Unfortunately browsers don't guard against this. Here's what you can do: 1. Make sure to upgrade to Session Buddy v4.0.5 (just released). It automatically detects data corruption caused by external apps, notifies you about it, and repairs the data. This should address your current situation. If not, please reach out to support@sessionbuddy.com for more help. 2. Regularly back up your data using Session Buddy's Backup feature (gear menu > Backup) if you haven't already started doing so after the first incident. We're working on a cloud storage feature that will eliminate the risks inherent to storing data in the browser without the need to regularly back up. Stay tuned!

I seriously cannot stress how much I love this extension. It has saved my history more times than I can count. Highly recommended.

To wake up one day and realize that all my collections are gone, a wonderful feeling, I wouldn't advise anyone

please update for tab group

My sessions and history from many years are gone. This has nothing to do with upgrade from v3 to v4. I already had v4 for almost a year (I specifically remember waiting for 4.0.2 to bring back "single-click close"). Using Chrome on Windows 10. The history retention is set to 10 years and 500 events. Searched everywhere, followed the guides on the website, but without success. It's sad that such usefull and popular extension has such severe bugs.

Is working fine on my main Chrome profile but causes intense lag and hanging/non-responsive in my other, to the point of me having to restart the browser. Was working fine until the most recent chrome update. Lag and the hanging/non-responsive goes away when I disable the extension. I am having issues with other session management extensions so I am not sure it is the extension or my specific chrome profile.

This extension is such a life saver. I wish you could retroactively rename sessions by date and time before the v4 updated, as a lot of them as currently named "untitled" even though I have the option to auto-name collections enabled. I also wish that when you export and import using the respective buttons, the sessions get appended or you can add an option to do so in the settings, so you can avoid potentially duplicate sessions.

This extension is my guiding for tab management. It is always the left-most tab on my primary window. I always have about 100-200 tabs open at any moment (thanks to The Marvelous Suspender!). I have a window that is my primary/home window, which is, from left-to-right, Session Buddy, task manager (Asana), my email, calendar, and my daily standup notes.
