Overview

Inspect service worker registrations, view cached resources, simulate offline mode, and debug PWAs.

Inspect service worker registrations, view cached resources, simulate offline mode, and debug PWAs. Service Worker Inspector gives you a quick overview of all service workers and cache storage on any page — without digging through the Application panel in DevTools. How it works: 1. Click the extension icon on any page. 2. See all registered service workers with their status (active, waiting, installing). 3. Switch to the Caches tab to browse cached resources by cache name. 4. Toggle offline simulation to test how the page handles network failures. Features: - Service worker list — see all registrations with scope, status, and script URL. - Force update — push a waiting service worker to active with one click. - Unregister — remove service workers you no longer need. - Cache viewer — browse all Cache Storage entries grouped by cache name. - Cache size — see the number of cached URLs in each cache. - Offline simulation — toggle offline mode to test PWA fallback behavior. - Auto-refresh — badge updates when navigating between pages. - Badge count — icon shows the number of active service workers on the current tab. - 100% local — no data leaves your browser. No accounts, no tracking, no servers. Who is this for? - PWA developers debugging service worker lifecycle and caching strategies. - Frontend developers verifying that assets are properly cached. - QA engineers testing offline behavior and cache invalidation. - Anyone working with the Service Worker API. Privacy: Service Worker Inspector does not collect, transmit, or share any data. Your preferences are stored locally using Chrome's built-in storage. No analytics, no telemetry, no third-party services.
