Check your SEPA direct debit or payment file before you upload it to your bank. SEPA File Check looks for the errors that make banks reject a file and explains in plain language what is wrong. How it works 1. Click the icon. If you don't see it, click the puzzle piece in the toolbar and pin the extension. The side panel opens next to the page you are working on. 2. Drop your XML file into the panel or choose the file. 3. You see straight away whether the file is in order. If not, you see the errors and the main causes. What is checked • Direct debit files (pain.008.001.02 and .08) and payment files (pain.001.001.03 and .09) • IBAN and BIC, amounts, counts and totals • Mandate reference, signature date and creditor identifier • Collection and execution date • Length of names, references and descriptions • Addresses: required when a bank is outside the EEA, and the form of the address (structured, hybrid or free-text lines) Your file stays on your computer The check runs entirely in your browser. The file is not uploaded and not stored anywhere. Repair when needed If the check finds errors, you can have the file repaired at bedrijfsboekhouder.com: €14.95 per file (excl. VAT), or without limits with the annual licence of €99 per year (excl. VAT). The file is only sent to our repair service when you click the button to repair it or convert its addresses. It is only processed temporarily in memory and deleted within 30 minutes. Download notification (optional) If you switch this on, you get a notification when you download an XML file, asking whether you want to check it. Chrome asks for your permission first.
