Overview
SEO tool to check HTTP status, redirect chains, headers, and whether a page is available for search engine indexing.
“SEO URL Status & Index Checker” shows the status of the current URL directly in the browser toolbar. While browsing websites, the extension icon changes color based on the check result. If the response is different from 200 OK, the HTTP status code is displayed on the badge: 301, 404, 503, and others. Its main advantage is continuous SEO indication without manual checks in external services or developer tools. Problem pages, response errors, redirects, and indexing blocks become visible immediately while working with a website. The icon color shows the check result: • green — the page is available for indexing; • yellow — there are warnings or mixed results; • red — the page is not available for indexing; • gray — the status is unknown or the check is still in progress. Click the icon to open a detailed report for the page. The extension checks: ✔ HTTP status of the current URL; ✔ final URL after all redirects; ✔ server-side redirects; ✔ client-side redirects; ✔ Meta Refresh redirects; ✔ server response headers; ✔ robots.txt rules; ✔ meta robots; ✔ X-Robots-Tag; ✔ canonical URL in HTML and HTTP headers; ✔ page availability for Googlebot, YandexBot, and BingBot; ✔ overall page availability for indexing. Use the extension to quickly detect: ✔ pages with 404, 410, 500, and 503 errors; ✔ unnecessary, long, or incorrect redirect chains; ✔ client-side redirects and Meta Refresh redirects; ✔ pages blocked from search engine crawlers in robots.txt; ✔ noindex directives in HTML code or HTTP headers; ✔ canonical errors: another URL, missing value, empty value, invalid URL, or multiple canonical tags; ✔ technical issues after site migration, redesign, or URL structure changes. You can copy the report, send it to a developer, save the URL chain separately, open robots.txt, open the canonical URL, or export the data to CSV. The tool is suitable for daily page checks, redirect control, indexing diagnostics, and URL analysis after website changes. All checks are performed locally in your browser. The extension does not send checked URLs, headers, cookies, page content, settings, or reports to external servers. “SEO URL Status & Index Checker” is designed for SEO specialists, webmasters, developers, site owners, and teams responsible for the technical condition and visibility of pages in search engines.
