SEO Check by RankLantern

Free SEO check of the page you have open: title, description, headings, canonical, alt texts and more. All in your browser.

How does this page look to Google? Click the lantern and you see it straight away. The SEO Check by RankLantern looks at the page you have open and tells you, point by point in plain words, what's going well and what to do about the rest. What the extension checks: • Visible in Google: is the page set to noindex or nofollow? • Page title: present, length, and whether Google cuts it off • Meta description: present and between 120 and 155 characters • H1 heading: exactly one main heading • Heading structure: all headings from H1 to H6 as a list, and whether a level is skipped • Canonical: present, and does it point to the page itself or to another address? • Page language (lang attribute) • Images without alt text • Internal and external links • Structured data: which JSON-LD types are on the page, and whether one has an error • Open Graph: og:title and og:image for sharing on social media • Amount of text in the main content Each check is green, orange or red. Together they make a score from 0 to 100, weighted the same way as the RankLantern audit. You also see how Google shows the page: title, address and description, cut off where Google cuts them. No account, no data sent to a server The check runs entirely in your browser. The extension only reads the page you have open, and only when you click its icon. Nothing is sent to RankLantern or anyone else, and the extension stores nothing. Want your whole site checked? The extension looks at one page. The free SEO check on ranklantern.com goes through up to 30 pages of your site with over 60 checks, such as broken links, duplicate titles and pages Google can't reach. RankLantern is SEO software from Groningen (the Netherlands) for business owners: a check of your site, new articles every week as drafts in WordPress, and a monthly report.
