Overview
Submit community ratings to help assess online content quality and safety.
Sentinel lets you quickly rate the quality and safety of any web page you visit and securely submit that rating to a shared database. What it does • Adds a toolbar button so you can rate the current page in a few clicks • Lets you score pages on credibility, bias, clickbait, and overall quality • Optionally add a short note explaining why you rated the page that way • Stores ratings anonymously or linked to your Sentinel account • Uses strong cryptography to sign each rating before it’s sent to our backend (Supabase) How it works 1. Open any web page. 2. Click the Sentinel toolbar icon. 3. Pick a rating and (optionally) write a note. 4. Your review is hashed, signed locally in your browser, and sent to our API. Privacy & security • Sentinel only reads the active tab’s URL and title when you open the popup or submit a rating. • We do not read or store page contents. • Ratings are sent over HTTPS to our Supabase backend and may be used for aggregate analytics and machine-learning research to improve content quality tools. • No ads, no third-party trackers. This extension is part of the Sentinel project, which explores community-driven approaches for assessing online information quality.
