Sensible is a Chrome extension that helps users make healthier and more sustainable food choices while shopping on Amazon Fresh. We shop with you as you browse, providing live insights, AI-generated explanations, and product alternatives based on nutrition and environmental impact. What Sensible Offers: Automatically scans your cart and individual product pages on Amazon Fresh Displays a sustainability score for each item, weighted 75% by NutriScore (a nutrition-based score) and 25% by estimated CO₂ emissions Provides AI-generated descriptions that explain why each item scored the way it did Highlights nutritional data including calories, sugar, protein, fiber, fat, and more Lists notable ingredients and allergens for each item Identifies which lifestyles each product supports, such as vegan, vegetarian, keto, etc. Shows carbon footprint estimates for products when available Recommends alternative products that are healthier or lower impact and available on Amazon Fresh that are one click away Offers one-click replacement of items in your cart when a better alternative exists Scores your total cart and suggests how to make it more sustainable We currently support Amazon Fresh, with support for more platforms like Instacart, Walmart, and others coming soon. Sensible is designed to make sustainability simple and accessible for everyone by integrating directly into the online grocery shopping experience. Features like the modify weights and replace all will come in future updates as well as improved speed for finding alternatives. We plan to allow you to select the weight of the NutriScore and CO₂ emissions put into your score calculation, and also allow you to place all of the things in your cart with better alternatives all with the click of a button.
