Overview
Send pages, images, audio and links from your browser into Magpie, or clip an article as a note.
Send to Magpie is the browser half of Magpie, the local-first reference board app for Mac and Windows (collectmagpie.com). Right-click anything worth keeping and it lands in the Magpie project you last had open, as ordinary files in your own folders: - Images download into your project, with the page they came from remembered as their source. - Pages become link cards carrying the page title and preview image. - Audio files can be sent straight from the browser. - "Clip article to Magpie" converts the readable part of a page to markdown inside your browser and saves it as a note, with the source attached. No accounts, no servers. The extension has no host permissions, reads a page only when you clip it, and never talks to any server: it hands what you picked to the Magpie app on your own computer through a magpie:// link. Nothing is collected, and nothing leaves your machine. Requires the free Magpie desktop app (collectmagpie.com) on macOS or Windows. Article extraction uses Defuddle (MIT), bundled inside the extension.
