Overview

Send emails one-by-one to each recipient with privacy and smart pacing. No one sees the other recipients. By Criativatek.com

Send Personally gives every recipient their own private email — sent one at a time, with smart pacing, directly from Gmail. No servers. No OAuth. No setup. Instead of one group email where everyone sees each other, each person receives their own private copy. No one knows who else received the same message. THE PROBLEM EVERY GMAIL USER FACES When you compose an email in Gmail, add multiple people to the "To:" field, and click Send, Gmail sends one single email to all recipients at once. Every person on that list can see every other email address. This creates real problems: Privacy violation — You are exposing personal email addresses to strangers. A client can see every other client you contacted. A candidate can see every other candidate. A patient can see every other patient. This is not just unprofessional — in many industries, it can be a compliance issue. Reply All chaos — Any recipient can hit "Reply All" and suddenly everyone on the list is part of a conversation they never agreed to join. This is one of the most common sources of email embarrassment and information leakage in professional settings. Spam perception — When recipients see a long list of email addresses in the "To:" field, your message immediately looks like mass spam. Even if your content is thoughtful, the visible recipient list signals "bulk blast." Open rates drop. Trust drops. No pacing control — Gmail sends to everyone simultaneously. If you are reaching out to 50 contacts, all 50 receive your email in the same second. This can trigger spam filters and rate limits. Real people do not send 50 individual conversations at the exact same millisecond. No personal feel — Even though you wrote the email to be relevant to each person, the fact that it is clearly addressed to a group removes the personal touch. People respond better to emails that feel like they were written just for them. These are not edge cases. These are everyday situations faced by sales teams, recruiters, consultants, small business owners, freelancers, nonprofit coordinators, teachers, event organizers, and anyone who communicates with multiple people about the same topic. Gmail offers BCC as a workaround, but BCC has its own problems: recipients sometimes see "undisclosed recipients" in the To field, some email clients flag BCC messages differently, and you still cannot control the pace of delivery. Send Personally solves all of this — directly inside Gmail, with zero setup. No external tools. No mail merge. No complicated configuration. Just a button that does exactly what you need. HOW SEND PERSONALLY WORKS The entire process takes four simple steps: Step 1 — Compose your email in Gmail as you normally would. Write your subject line and message body. Format it however you like — bold, links, images, signatures. Everything stays exactly as you wrote it. Step 2 — Add all your recipients in the "To" field. You can add 5 people, 20 people, or 100 people. Step 3 — Instead of clicking Gmail's regular "Send" button, click the "Send Personally" button. This button appears automatically right next to the native Send button in every compose window. It is seamlessly integrated into Gmail's interface — it looks and feels like it belongs there. Step 4 — Send Personally takes over. It reads your recipient list, your subject, and your message body. Then it sends your email to each recipient individually, one at a time, with a configurable delay between each send. Each email goes through Gmail's own compose-and-send flow, exactly as if you had manually opened a new compose window, typed in one email address, pasted your message, and clicked Send — for every single recipient. The result: every person on your list receives a private, individual email. Their email shows only their address in the "To:" field. They have no way to know that anyone else received the same message. It looks and feels like a personal email written just for them. REAL-TIME PROGRESS TRACKING While Send Personally is working, a clean, modern progress overlay appears in the bottom-right corner of your Gmail window. This overlay shows you everything you need to know in real time: Current status — "Sending 5 of 24" with the recipient email address currently being processed Visual progress bar — A smooth, animated bar that fills as each email is sent Countdown timer — Between each send, a live countdown shows exactly when the next email will be sent: "Next in 28s", "Next in 1m 15s" Status badges — Clear visual indicators: "In progress" (blue) while sending, "Done" (green) when complete, "Error" (red) if something goes wrong Counter — A simple "5/24" numeric counter for quick reference Current recipient — The email address being sent to right now The overlay is informative without being intrusive. It stays in the corner, does not block your work, and disappears automatically when sending is complete. CANCEL ANYTIME — FULL CONTROL Made a mistake? Changed your mind? Noticed a typo after the third email went out? The progress overlay includes a Cancel button that immediately stops the sending process. Emails already sent are delivered normally — they are real Gmail emails and cannot be recalled by the extension. But all remaining unsent emails are cancelled instantly. You are always in control. This is a critical advantage over other bulk email solutions where once you click Send, there is no turning back. With Send Personally, you can monitor every single send and stop the moment something does not look right. Whether you realize the wrong attachment was included, the subject line has a typo, or you simply changed your mind about reaching out to certain people — one click and the process stops cleanly. SMART PACING — CONFIGURABLE DELAY One of Send Personally's most important features is the configurable delay between sends. Click the extension icon in your browser toolbar and a clean settings popup appears with a slider: Minimum delay: 2 seconds Maximum delay: 10 minutes Default delay: 30 seconds Why does pacing matter? Sending too many emails too quickly can trigger Gmail's built-in rate limits and spam detection. Google monitors sending patterns, and a sudden burst of 50 identical emails in 2 seconds looks very different from 50 emails spread over 25 minutes. Smart pacing keeps your sending pattern natural and within Gmail's comfort zone. Paced sending also mimics real human behavior. A real person composing and sending individual emails would naturally take 30 seconds to a few minutes between each one. This makes your emails look more organic to both email providers and recipients. For larger recipient lists, longer delays give you more time to monitor the process, catch any issues, and cancel if needed. The delay setting is saved locally and persists between sessions. ERROR HANDLING If an error occurs while sending to a specific recipient, Send Personally handles it gracefully: The progress overlay shows an error state with a red border and "Error" badge A detailed alert shows exactly which email address failed and what went wrong The error message includes technical details you can copy and report The extension continues sending to remaining recipients (unless you cancel) The final overlay shows how many succeeded versus the total Every success and every failure is tracked and reported transparently. SEAMLESS GMAIL INTEGRATION Send Personally is designed to feel like a native Gmail feature: The "Send Personally" button integrates directly into Gmail's compose toolbar, right next to the native Send button. It matches Gmail's visual style — same font (Google Sans), same height, same hover effects, same button group styling. The button automatically appears in every compose window — new compose, reply, or forward. You never have to activate it. It is always there. The extension uses Gmail's own compose-and-send mechanism. It does not use Gmail's API, SMTP, or any external server. Each email is sent by opening a real Gmail compose window, filling in the fields, and clicking Gmail's real Send button. Your emails go through Gmail's standard pipeline, with your signature, your sending address, and Gmail's standard deliverability. Available in 20 languages — automatically adapts to your browser language. Smart compose detection using a debounced MutationObserver to detect compose windows and inject the button with minimal performance impact. WHO SHOULD USE SEND PERSONALLY Sales professionals — Send the same pitch or follow-up to multiple prospects without them knowing the others exist. Each prospect feels like they received personal outreach. This dramatically improves response rates. Recruiters — Contact multiple candidates for the same role without exposing their identities to each other. Candidate privacy is not just professional courtesy — in many jurisdictions, it is a legal requirement. Small business owners — Send invoices, updates, or announcements to your client list. Each client sees only their email. Your business looks professional, not like a mass mailing operation. Freelancers and consultants — Follow up with leads, send updates to stakeholders, or share proposals. Keep each conversation private and each relationship feeling one-on-one. Teachers and professors — Distribute grades, feedback, or class information to students individually. No student sees another student's email address. Event organizers — Send invitations or updates to attendees. Each person receives a personal invitation without seeing the entire guest list. Nonprofit coordinators — Reach out to donors, volunteers, or community members individually. Personal outreach drives more engagement than group emails. HR professionals — Send onboarding information, policy updates, or sensitive communications without exposing the distribution list. Real estate agents — Contact multiple interested buyers or sellers about a property without revealing who else is interested. Healthcare administrators — Communicate with patients or staff while maintaining strict privacy of contact information. Lawyers and legal professionals — Send case updates, document requests, or confidential information to multiple parties while keeping each communication strictly private and separate. Property managers — Notify tenants about building updates, maintenance schedules, or policy changes without exposing tenant email addresses to each other. Anyone who values privacy — If you have ever been uncomfortable seeing a long list of email addresses in an email you received, or worried about exposing your contacts to each other, Send Personally is built for you. ZERO SETUP — INSTALL AND USE There is nothing to configure before you start: No accounts to create No API keys to generate No OAuth permissions to grant No email service to connect No onboarding wizard No subscription to activate Install from the Chrome Web Store. Open Gmail. Compose an email. The "Send Personally" button is already there. Click it. That is it. You will be sending private, individual emails within 30 seconds of installing. PRIVACY AND SECURITY Privacy is not just a feature of Send Personally — it is the entire reason it exists. Minimal permissions — Only two permissions required: storage — to save your delay preference locally mail.google.com — to inject the button into Gmail's compose interface No data collection — The extension does not collect, store, transmit, or log any data. Not your email addresses. Not your recipients. Not your email content. Nothing. No external servers — Your emails never pass through any third-party server. Everything happens locally in your browser, through Gmail's own interface. There is no backend, no cloud service, no intermediary. No analytics — No Google Analytics. No tracking pixels. No telemetry. No usage statistics. No third-party code — No external scripts, libraries, or frameworks. Everything is self-contained. Built with Manifest V3 — Chrome's latest and most secure extension platform, with service worker architecture, stricter content security policies, and granular permission controls. This is the most modern and secure foundation available for Chrome extensions today. TECHNICAL DETAILS For users who want to understand how the extension works: Content script injection — A content script on mail.google.com observes the DOM for compose dialogs using a MutationObserver and injects the Send Personally button into the toolbar. Recipient detection — Multiple fallback strategies: data-hovercard-id attributes (Gmail standard), span[email] attributes, and textarea fallback. This ensures compatibility across Gmail versions and configurations. Email sending flow — For each recipient: (1) opens a new Gmail compose window, (2) waits for it to load, (3) fills To, Subject, and Body, (4) clicks Send, (5) waits for the window to close before starting the countdown. Body preservation — Captures and preserves full HTML content including formatting, links, images, and signatures using insertHTML. Duplicate removal — Automatically deduplicates the recipient list before sending. Smart validation — Checks for at least two recipients before starting. Suggests the regular Send button for single recipients. Internationalization — All strings use Chrome's i18n API, adapting to the user's browser language across 20 supported languages. IMPORTANT NOTES Keep Gmail open while emails are being sent. Do not close the tab or navigate away during the sending process. Gmail has daily sending limits (typically 500 for regular accounts, 2,000 for Google Workspace). Send Personally respects these limits. Longer delays help stay within Gmail's comfort zone. One send at a time — If a send is in progress, clicking Send Personally again will not start a second batch. Designed for Gmail's web interface on desktop browsers. It integrates with Gmail's compose dialogs as they appear in standard desktop view across all major operating systems — Windows, macOS, Linux, and ChromeOS. COMPARISON WITH ALTERNATIVES Why not just use BCC? BCC hides recipients from each other, but many email clients display "undisclosed recipients" in the To field, which looks impersonal and suspicious. Some corporate email filters flag BCC messages differently. And BCC still sends everything simultaneously with no pacing control. Why not use a mail merge tool? Most mail merge solutions require connecting external services, granting broad OAuth permissions, or paying monthly subscriptions. They often route emails through their own servers, which means your email content passes through a third party. Send Personally requires none of that — everything stays local, inside Gmail. Why not send manually one by one? You certainly can. But if you have 30 recipients, that means opening 30 compose windows, pasting the same subject and body 30 times, typing each email address individually, and clicking Send 30 times. Send Personally automates exactly this manual process — nothing more, nothing less.
