Overview

See the loaded language, name calling and other manipulation techniques in the article you're reading, with the words marked.

Semblen shows you how an article is trying to persuade you. Open any article and click the Semblen icon. A side panel lists the paragraphs that use a manipulation technique (loaded language, name calling, appeal to fear, exaggeration and others), marks the exact words, and explains each one in a sentence. Click "Show on page" to jump to the paragraph. - Works on the page you already have open, including sites you subscribe to. - Select a passage first to check only that passage. - Language inside a quotation is reported as the speaker's, not the outlet's. - It does not rate outlets, and it does not tell you what is true. It shows wording; you decide what to make of it. Free: 5 new pages a day. Pages someone has already checked that day don't count. It also shows who the article quotes, the historical background the story leaves out, and, when you ask, checks of its factual claims against outside sources. Privacy: nothing is read until you click the icon. Then the article's text is sent to semblen.com for analysis. Your browsing history is never sent. The page's address is sent only if you press "Check the claims" (so the article isn't used as evidence for itself) and is not stored. The full text is not kept. https://semblen.com/privacy Semblen is an independent project. The same analysis runs on semblen.com, along with an index of political ads in the 2026 Senate races.
