Pangkalahatang-ideya
Instant unit and currency conversion for anything you select on the web: highlight a value, see the conversion in a small tooltip.
A recipe says 350°F and your oven reads Celsius. A listing says 2.5 miles, a shop says €89. SelectConvert ends the copy-paste-search detour: highlight a number with a unit or currency on any page, and a small tooltip shows the conversion right next to your selection in about half a second. WHAT IT DOES - Converts length, mass, volume, temperature, speed, area, data, and currency: 41 units plus 31 currencies - Reads numbers the way people actually write them: "5km", "2.5 miles", "1/2 cup", "350°F", "1.000,5 km", "$25", "25 €", "160 pounds" - Converts currencies using daily reference rates from the European Central Bank, via the Frankfurter API, cached on your device - Lets you choose the target unit for every category, with locale-smart defaults from the start - Pauses on any site in one click, and toggles everywhere with Alt+U WHY IT ASKS FOR BROAD PAGE ACCESS Measurements appear on every kind of page: recipes, listings, spec sheets, tickets, forums. SelectConvert does exactly one thing, convert the measurement you select, so it works wherever you read. It reads only the text you highlight, never stores it, and never sends it anywhere. PRIVACY Unit conversions run entirely on your device. For currency conversions the extension fetches a public exchange-rate table from the Frankfurter API (api.frankfurter.app), sending only a base-currency code and never the value you selected, at most once a day, and caches it locally. No account, and no tracking or analytics ever leave your device. Pro removes the daily cap, shows up to three targets in one tooltip, refreshes rates every 6 hours, and adds per-category decimal precision. Pro is a one-time license for this extension, not a subscription. Every plan has a 14-day money-back guarantee.
