Seeky
Overview
Select a passage, press S, and read what it means right under it. Built for reading papers.
Reading a paper and hit a sentence you don't get? Select it and press S. Seeky explains it in plain words, right under the passage, so you never leave the page to paste it into a chatbot. How an explanation reads: 1. A short, plain explanation, based on the paper first: terms and abbreviations are explained the way this paper defines them. 2. An example that makes the idea click. 3. One line for each number, unit or symbol in the selection (r = 0.52, p < .001, α, ≤ …), saying what it means here. Works where you read: 1. Any web page, including journal sites, arXiv HTML papers and blogs. 2. PDFs: Seeky opens them in its own reader, where select-and-press-S works the same way. 3. Light and dark pages: the card matches the page. Your model, your key: 1. Connect Gemini (free tier available), Claude or ChatGPT with an API key from your own account, then pick any model that key can use. 2. Keys stay on your computer. Nothing is sent until you press S, and then only to the provider you chose.
