SecureHive Shadow AI gives security and IT teams visibility into the AI tools used across their organization and helps enforce organizational AI-use policies. The extension detects visits to known and organization-defined AI services, records the minimum configured navigation metadata, and reports detections to the organization's SecureHive environment. Administrators can allow, monitor, warn about, or block AI tools through centrally managed policy. Key capabilities: - Detect known and organization-defined AI tools. - Report AI-tool usage to the organization's SecureHive dashboard. - Apply centrally managed allow, monitor, warn, and block policies. - Warn users before sensitive information is submitted to supported AI prompt fields. - Show recent detections and synchronization status to the user. - Support enterprise-managed configuration and signed policy bundles. Data collection is configurable. Depending on organizational policy, detection records may include the AI tool, vendor, category, timestamp, domain, page title, or full URL. When Content Safety is enabled, prompt-field text is examined locally for sensitive-data patterns; raw prompt text and matched sensitive values are not stored or transmitted by the current runtime. SecureHive Shadow AI is intended for organizations using the SecureHive AI Governance platform.
