Overview
Enhance your search privacy by alternating between Yahoo! and the privacy-centric DuckDuckGo by prepending '!' to your query
Enhance your search privacy by prepending '!' to your query. Sometimes you want to search for something secret. You don't mind it appearing in your history but you do not want this search associated with your main account or to be chased with re-targeting ads forever. Sometimes you also want to see search results unskewed by your personal history or current location such as when researching journalistic issues or an overseas subject. Incognito is a hassle as it loses your session and log-in info; However, a quick jump to a privacy-oriented search engine by using a quick keyword can be exactly the convenient solution you are looking for! By default, Search Secure by SecuryBrowse will redirect search results to Yahoo's Search Engine. When switching to Private Search (by prepending '!'), search results will be redirected to DuckDuckGo. Private Search by SecuryBrowse is not affiliated with any of the entities above. Permissions Needed: * `Search Settings Override` - This will change your browser's Default Search Provider to search.securybrowse.com * `Notifications` - To display warning notifications. * `Read and change all website data` - Standard permission to identify the URLs and scan web pages. Even though permission states "change data", SecuryBrowse works in read-only and will not alter anything on any website you visit. For inquiries, contact the support team at feedback@securybrowse.com
