SecretGuard by Hunasys checks text prompts for possible credentials before you send them to supported AI chats. Scanning runs locally on your device. REVIEW BEFORE SENDING When SecretGuard finds possible secrets, review the detected values and choose: • Send: send the original prompt without masking. • Edit: return to your draft without sending. • Mask: replace detected values with xxxxxxxxxx and send the masked prompt. CREDENTIAL CHECKS AND CUSTOM FIELDS SecretGuard checks supported API-key, access-token, private-key and other credential patterns. Add up to 50 custom field names, such as dataset_key, for values you want protected. The Protect client IDs setting controls supplemental client-ID detection. PROTECTION FOR NEW AND EDITED MESSAGES Checks run when you try to send text from recognized chat inputs, including supported edit-message forms. Each send action is checked against its own draft. LOCAL ACTIVITY AND HISTORY See Detected, Masked Sent and Unmasked Sent totals. When you choose Send with detected secrets left unmasked and the website send control is activated, SecretGuard saves the complete original prompt, provider, supported conversation URL and time in local History for up to 90 days. History includes the secrets and is not encrypted by SecretGuard. You can delete individual entries or clear History. Entries record send attempts; delivery is not confirmed. Ordinary and masked messages are not saved in History. YOUR DATA SecretGuard does not upload prompts to Hunasys or a remote scanner. Settings, custom field names, numeric activity totals and History stay in this browser profile. No account, remote analytics or production debug prompt logger is included. KNOW THE LIMITS Detection can miss secrets or flag non-sensitive text. SecretGuard does not verify whether credentials are valid. Coverage depends on recognized text inputs and send controls. Files, images, voice, native apps and existing conversation content are not scanned. When editing a previous message, only the edited draft is checked. Websites can read text entered into their pages before you send it. SecretGuard is an independent product by Hunasys. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the supported chat providers.
