Overview
Your Secretariat list in the toolbar. Connect Canvas or Moodle in one tap, check off or add to-dos by voice, see what's due next.
Secretariat is a day-by-day to-do list and calendar for college students. It builds one list from your Canvas assignments and announcements, each class's syllabus, and your calendars. When a syllabus and Canvas disagree on a due date, Secretariat catches it and shows you both. It only reads your accounts and asks before it changes anything. Free to start, no card: https://www.getsecretariat.com Secretariat puts today's to-do list one click away in Chrome's toolbar. Click the S (or press Alt+Shift+S, Option+Shift+S on a Mac) to see what's on your list today: your Canvas deadlines, the to-dos you added yourself, and anything else Secretariat pulled in, in the same order as the app. - Connect Canvas in one tap. Open your Canvas page, click the S, and tap Connect. No token to copy and no address to type. If your Canvas token is about to run out, the same card offers Renew. Came from the Open Canvas button in Secretariat? Just click the S: it connects on its own and takes you back to your list. - Connect Moodle in one tap too. Open your Moodle page, click the S, and tap Connect: it gets your Moodle calendar link for you, so your due dates come in. - Check things off without switching tabs. They're saved right away. - Add a to-do the way you'd jot it in Notes: "Pset 5 fri 11:59pm" sets the day and time for you, and you see them before it's added. Changed your mind? Undo. - Not getting to something today? Tap the mic and say "move the lab report and the reading to Friday." Secretariat shows what it'll do, and nothing changes until you tap Confirm. - Or pick a few with Move and send them to tomorrow, next week, or any day. - Use the arrows by the date to see tomorrow or any other day. - Missing shows what's past due and still not done, so nothing slips. Check it off or move it right there. - Coming up shows your next few exams, quizzes and papers. Tap Study on an exam or quiz to open it in Secretariat and make a study guide. - Already have Secretariat open? Study and Open Secretariat take you to that tab instead of opening another one. - Every to-do links back to where it came from, like the Canvas assignment. - When Canvas changes a date, the popup tells you there's a change to review in Secretariat. - The number on the icon shows what's left today, so you know at a glance. You need a Secretariat account to use it. Sign in once with the button in the extension, and you stay signed in. Sign out from the extension, or from every browser at once in Secretariat's Settings. Privacy: the extension only talks to Secretariat. It doesn't read or change the websites you visit. The one exception is your own Canvas or Moodle page, and only when you click the extension there: it checks the tab is Canvas or Moodle. When you tap Connect on Canvas it makes one Canvas access token named "Secretariat" for your account; on Moodle it gets your own calendar link from Moodle's Export calendar page. It never uploads, submits or changes anything in your classes. When you use the mic, Chrome's own speech service turns your voice into words, and only the words go to Secretariat.
